In Los Angeles to host a Golden?Globes Arrival Show on Sunday, TODAY's Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and Natalie Morales found time to stop by "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" Friday night.
In a stunt-skit called "Meal or No Meal," Matt, Savannah and Al served as judges as three audience members displayed special talents in an effort to win free food.
The first audience contestant billed himself as "the human siren" and proceeded to mimic a rescue vehicle. Al told the man that he wished his head could spin around with lights. Savannah said she couldn't hear anything after the "siren," and Matt asked the man for a European siren, which he successfully produced. All three voted for the man to get a free meal, and out came Natalie to deliver a restaurant gift certificate.
The next contestant said he could do something "unusal with his hair" and then did just that -- the college student moved his hair back and forth on top of his head without touching it, making it look as if he were wearing a wig that was alive.
"I can see Al looking on with envy," Leno said.
"I used to be able to do that," Al replied. Savannah said Al can do the same trick, but instead it makes Matt's back hair move.
"Good news is you got a meal," Matt told the man. "Bad news is Savannah is gonna cook it."
The third and final contestant (in video above) set the stage by saying he was going to do a "weird trick with a meat hook and a 15-pound ham." Natalie delivered those items and the man proceeded to freak out everyone watching by inserting the hook through his nose and out his mouth before hanging the ham from it.
"No! No!" Al yelled as the hook went in. Matt ran off the stage and the audience groaned. "How did you start practicing to do that?" Al asked. Matt called it the most disgusting thing he'd ever seen -- and gave the man a meal for it.
Tune in Sunday for the Golden Globes Arrival Show with Matt, Al, Savannah and Natalie on NBC at 7 p.m.
